100% cotton paper made in France

BERGGER COT

available in two weights 320 and 160

BERGGER COT 320 & 160 are 100% cotton art art photography publishing papers made in France. Non-sensitised, they have been designed for alternative printing techniques: platinum / palladium, cyanotype, Van Dyke, etc.

BERGGER COT 320 offers a rigidity adapted to all types of print formats.
BERGGER COT 160 is particularly suited to the production of artists' books.

BERGGER COT x Platine Paladium Print

BERGGER COT 100% cotton papers guarantee the platinum printer perfect impregnation. Their soft, satin-finish surface perfectly matches the properties of the richly nuanced platinum / palladium print. In the example on the right, photographer Philippe Ayral used COT160 paper.

BERGGER: Philippe, can you tell us how COT 100% cotton papers are perfectly suited to platinum prints?

Philippe Ayral: I use both weights of BERGGER paper, the COT320 for exhibition prints and the COT160, which is particularly interesting for artists' books because it's not too thick and is easy to bind. Both weights have good consistency, and when kept at a constant hygrometry, they absorb the emulsion very well, and it's easy to control its penetration. They clarify easily.

BERGGER COT x Cyanotype

BERGGER COT papers are compatible with most alternative processes. Used with BERGGER cyanotype emulsion, they produce prints with moderate contrast and a wide range of values.

BERGGER COT x Van Dyke

Less well-known than the cyanotype, the Van Dyke process is almost as easy to use and produces prints with beautiful chocolate tones. BERGGER COT papers are compatible with this process. In particular, they allow the paper to be impregnated evenly.
