Bergger Analog Photo Prize
Winner announcement
It is with great pleasure that we announce that Huseyin Ovayolu's Uprooted project has won the Bergger Analog Photo Prize 2025. 🏆
After a particularly rich final deliberation phase, the jury of the Bergger Analog Photo Prize 2025 had to make difficult choices among a set of works of exceptional quality. The overall level of the entries, the diversity of approaches and the sincerity of the projects made the final selection both inspiring and demanding for all members of the jury.
The Grand Prize for the 2025 edition was awarded to Huseyin Ovayolu for his remarkable project Uprooted, which stands out for its poetic sensibility and powerful reflection on belonging, uprooting and memory, themes that particularly resonate with the spirit of this first edition.
The jury and the Bergger team would like to express their deep gratitude to all the artists who participated in this first edition. Each project submitted contributes to the lively and demanding dialogue that keeps black-and-white film photography at the heart of contemporary creation.
For this first edition, we received 623 submissions from 23 countries, and the selection process was exceptionally difficult, a testament to the vitality of analog photography today.
