"Les carrés cousus" is a collection of photographic essays in a format halfway between a portfolio and a book. Works of fiction, documentaries, or somewhere in between, these notebooks aim to open up fields of experimentation in the practice of analogue photography.
Sur le fil by Félix Paturange invites us into a dream. The book opens with a sleeping face bathed in light and leads us through the pages into an in-between world, on the edge of waking, where the substance of dreams can be guessed. Sur le fil is the second opus of the collection, sewn with black thread.
Through the question of the trace, the diffuse presence and the disappearance, Félix Paturange takes with him our imagination in a quest for balance. Balance between emptiness and fullness, fixity and movement, absence and visible passage, the ink stain and the blank sheet.
